The problem is that happening to so many weddings in 30 days, it takes a little imagination to be with little things that help you stand out from the crowd. How about some “unconventional” wedding food to try to wow guests and palate? Titanium or tungsten rings instead of traditional wedding rings? How about a rock band instead of a DJ? It’s the little things that make your wedding stand out.
When it comes to a wedding, every single one of them in common (apart from an uncle who drank too much): Rings. Traditional wedding rings usually with a gold, silver or platinum band, with a kind of gem it adorns. Instead of the tradition, how to change it a little by trying titanium and tungsten jewelry?
You would be surprised how elegant (and unbreakable) are both metals and there are many high-profile companies, the wedding rings of the two metals. As soon as you see them, you agree that tungsten rings perfect to have to take forever. And while you’re at it, most companies also chains, bracelets and cufflinks in alternative metals.
Another thing to think about what kind of food you’re going to serve. Traditionally, the bride and bridegroom can choose between beef, chicken or fish. Sometimes, a vegetarian option such as lasagna is admitted. Why not try something different, like pizza, pasta, Bar-B-Que, or even something more exotic like Japanese, Indian or Chinese cuisine? It may not suit every palate, but with ethnic restaurants bring in big companies, what holds you back from offering something different for your guests then a kind of chicken in cream sauce? They are likely to appreciate.
And like the music? I recently went to a wedding and instead of a DJ, they had the groom brother’s rock band plays classic rock (Beatles, Stones, etc.) melodies. I must say that it really works, and it was honestly quite refreshing. Not only the band was spot on, but it brought a more liberal attitude towards the reception (they served the pizza fit beautifully into the atmosphere). Sometimes you just need a break from the typical top 40 order and just dance to live something.
These are just a few things to think about when planning your celebration. Remember, if you really want to get out from the crowd then you have to think outside the box out. Your guests will thank you for a change of pace.
